Frequently asked questions

What is ISO certification?+

It is verification by an independent, accredited body that your organisation runs a management system compliant with an international standard (e.g. ISO 9001 for quality). It certifies your processes, not the products directly.

Is ISO certification mandatory?+

In most cases it is optional, unless required by law, a tender or a customer. Many businesses choose it for competitive advantage and access to markets and tenders.

How much does ISO certification cost?+

It depends on size, sites and complexity. The cost splits into a consultant fee and a certification body fee. At the free initial assessment you receive a transparent quote with no hidden charges.

Can I get ΕΣΠΑ funding?+

Yes, the ISO certification expense is eligible in many ΕΣΠΑ programmes for SMEs. We inform you of active programmes and the funding rate.

How long does the process take?+

Typically 2–4 months from initial assessment to audit, depending on the size and readiness of the organisation.

How many years is the certificate valid?+

It is valid for 3 years, with 2 annual surveillance audits in between. At expiry a recertification takes place.

Are you the certification body?+

No. We are independent consultants: we prepare you and stand by you at the audit by any accredited body (e.g. ΕΣΥΔ accreditation) of your choice.

Do I definitely need a consultant?+

It is not mandatory, but it is highly advisable: it saves time, avoids mistakes and increases your chances of passing the audit the first time.

Is it suitable for a small business?+

Absolutely. We tailor the system to be practical and lightweight, with no unnecessary bureaucracy — it works equally well for micro and large companies.

Can I certify to several standards at once?+

Yes. Integrated development of several standards (e.g. 9001 + 14001 + 45001) is possible and reduces total cost and time.

Does certification guarantee my product quality?+

It certifies that you run a reliable system for managing your processes. That leads to more consistent quality, but it is not a certification of the product itself.

Will there be a lot of bureaucracy?+

No. We document what adds value, not “everything”. The aim is a system that works in practice, not a binder on a shelf.

Is the certification recognised abroad?+

Yes. ISO standards are international and a certificate from an accredited body is recognised worldwide, facilitating exports and partnerships.

What happens after certification?+

We take on the annual surveillances, internal audits and system updates, so it stays alive and compliant.

Which areas do you serve?+

We are based in Athens and serve businesses across Greece, with both remote and on-site support.
