When is an EPC mandatory?+

For every sale or lease of a building/part of a building, as well as for joining energy-upgrade programmes.

How long is it valid?+

An EPC is valid for 10 years, unless a major renovation or change affecting the building’s energy performance takes place.

Details of the property (floor plan, square metres, heating/window data) and an on-site survey by the energy inspector.
